History
Ministerios Bethania USA opened its doors on June 24, 1991, but the story began much earlier. Our founding pastor, Dr. Víctor Higueros, served as an associate pastor for more than a decade in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, under the leadership of Apostle Efraín Avelar. During that time, God used him to help plant around 23 churches in Guatemala, raising leaders and establishing communities of faith.
In obedience to the voice of the Lord, Pastor Víctor and his wife Evita moved to Carrollton, Texas, with the clear direction to begin a new work. What began in a simple way, with seven people gathered in the living room of Sister Morales, soon became a move of the Holy Spirit that transformed lives.
The first ten years were a time of extraordinary growth: entire families came to Christ, leaders were raised, and the church became a spiritual lighthouse for the Hispanic community of the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Today, Bethania remains firm in its mission: to proclaim Christ, disciple families, and serve the nations. What began in a small living room has now extended to Mexico, Central America, North America, Europe, and Africa, with daughter churches carrying the same spiritual DNA.
Our Five Pillars of the Gospel
-
Redemption — The sacrifice, death, and resurrection of Christ as the foundation of our faith.
-
Filling of the Holy Spirit — The guidance and power that transforms daily life.
-
Healing — Complete restoration through the work of Christ (Isaiah 53:5).
-
Integral Prosperity — Abundant life in every area (2 Corinthians 8:9).
-
Second Coming and the Kingdom of God — The glorious hope of the church (Matthew 6:10
From seven people in a living room to an international ministry: this is the story of Bethania. A story written not by human strength, but by the faithfulness of God.
